CWS is excited to have to Sister Maxine Kollasch, IHM, riding with us. Sister Max is the Executive Director of A Nun’s Life, an online ministry that helps people discover and grow in their vocation – wherever God is calling. Sister Max lives in Toledo, Ohio.
An avid cyclist, Sister Max is genuinely excited about this particular ride. She believes it is “an opportunity to join with others worldwide to raise awareness about issues such as climate change…that affect everyone, but especially those living in poverty.”
Cycling is one of Sister Max’s strongest ways to connect with nature. She writes: “When I’m on a bike ride, whether in rural or urban areas, I encounter nature’s beauty and am reminded of nature’s resilience.” So it’s natural that during the ride, Sister Max will be praying in solidarity with all of God’s creation and the Earth, our common home.
